Dance Fit (Dance Aerobics)

Aerobic fitness dancing class, involves different routines, including box steps, grapevines and leg curls all put to uplifting music, to achieve a fantastic all body workout. A typical dance class usually begins with a 5 to 10 minute warm-up, followed by a 20- to 30-minute aerobic routine, and ends with hand held weights session to tone, legs bums and tums on mats and a stretch cool down.

The word aerobic means “with oxygen” but aerobics usually refers to any kind of activity that gets your heart pumping and your muscles using oxygen. Aerobic dancing is a fun way to work out and includes a variety of movements that promotes, good range of movement within joints, mobility, balance, strong bone density and motor skills.

Aerobic exercise:

  • Improves your circulation and helps your body use oxygen better.
  • Increases energy.
  • Increases endurance, which means you can work out longer without getting tired.
  • Helps reduce the risk of developing heart disease.
  • Helps reduce the risk of developing diabetes.
  • Helps reduce body fat.
